Current Projects

Under the auspices of the Chief Justice of the Family and Probate Courts of Massachusetts, Dr. Wolman and his colleague, Dr. Richard Pomerance recently completed a study about the effects, both psychological and legal, on the use of Virtual Visitation, i.e., the use of Skype and FaceTime with children in families of divorce. This research was presented in September 2012 at the International Society for Presence Research at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. “Telepresence Technology in Separation and Divorce.” It was also presented at the Greater Boston Collaborative Practice Group in December 2012, “Telepresence Technology in Separation and Divorce:

Dr Wolman and David Hoffman presented a workshop entitled, “The Psychology of Collaborative Negotiation,” to the Greater Boston Collaborative Practice Group, April 2012.

Dr. Wolman is also the creator of the television series, BEDSIDE, a dramatic show about hospital chaplains. The series is currently under review by a major television network, with the hope of being produced in the near future.

Dr Wolman and David Hoffman had their paper entitled, “The Psychology of Mediation,” published in the Spring 2013 issue of the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, Journal of Conflict Resolution

Six people from Boston Law Collaborative served on the faculty of the first Advanced Family Law Mediation Training, offered by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education: Israela Brill-Cass, Rachel Goldman, David Hoffman, Vicki Shemin, and BLC Affiliates Katherine Triantafillou and Dr. Richard Wolman on May 7, 2013.

Dr Wolman, in collaboration with Hon. Gail Perlman, Sally Gaglini, Esq., and Marcia Boumil, Esq. participated in a panel presentation entitled, “The Guardian ad Litem and Children’s Therapeutic Privilege,” sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad Litem at Regis College on April 26, 2013.
